Business confidence is high in Queensland, according to the latest Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland (CCIQ) Pulse Survey of Business Conditions.
The survey for the June quarter found that just over a third of Queensland businesses expect national economic conditions to improve over the coming year.
CCIQ president Beatrice Booth said the positive economic news that has been circulating seems to be having an effect on business confidence.
“It would appear the recent run of better than expected economic news has convinced many businesses that the current downturn will not be as severe or prolonged as originally expected.”
However, when it comes to their own state, Queensland businesses are less optimistic, with 43 percent expecting state conditions to weaken over the next 12 months.
