The G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance Summit is being held in Sydney on 18-22 July, and applications to attend are closing soon.
Entrepreneurs aged 40 years old and under are eligible to apply before registrations close on 31 March 2014.
The event has previously been hosted in Canada, France, Mexico and Russia and provides an opportunity to showcase Australian businesses to G20 countries around the world.
It is expected that more 500 entrepreneurs and leaders from G20 countries around the world will attend the three-day summit.
The purpose of the summit is for delegates to create proactive solutions to the G20 priority problems. Discussion points raised at the event will then be presented to world leaders during the G20 Leaders Summit being held in Brisbane in November 2014.
One of the main goals of the G20YEA Summit is to create a strategy to reduce unemployment by 10 per cent by 2030. To do this, the focus is on youth entrepreneurship as a solution to unemployment – namely through job creation, youth employment and growth.
