Freelancer.com Founder and CEO Matt Barrie has been named as the Technology category winner of the 2011 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, for the Eastern Region.
Barrie won a similar award earlier in the year, when he was named BRW Entrepreneur of the Year in March.
The six criteria for the Ernst & Young prize were entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, personal integrity and influence, financial performance, strategic direction and national and global impact.
Barrie was chosen as the winner by the Eastern Region panel of noted judges, which included Non Executive Director of Seven West Media Limited, Doug Flynn.
