A Melbourne fast food restaurant has been officially cautioned by the Fair Work Ombudsman after a random audit discovered a range of unlawful deductions were being taken from staff wages.

“People are more interested in what they are eating these days, so I think our timing was good and we had enough time to get our concept right,” Ben Thomas, co-founder and owner of Banana Blossom Asian Salads, tells Dynamic Business.
