Soon-to-be mother of four and owner of Babes in Arms range Anita Lincolne-Lomax has been recognised as AusMumpreneur of the year, at the Bio-Oil AusMumpreneur Awards Ceremony held in Sydney on Saturday night.
The ceremony was an opportunity for business-owning mums to celebrate and recognise the best and brightest entrepreneurs, whilst acknowledging their success in business, product development, services and innovation.
Anita Lincolne-Lomax Babes in Arms range includes ERGObaby, a line of carriers for mother and child including a range of colours, styles and textures, as well as the Peanut Shell, Breeze Baby and Hug-A-Bub range of slings which feature handy tutorials on the site for parents new to the brand.
Lomax is also responsible for the Baby Bella Maya range of accessories for premmies to pre-schoolers as well as Baby legs, a selection of stockings, leg warmers, socks and footless tights.
The winning AusMumpreneur acknowledged the struggles of life as a working mother during her acceptance speech.
“There are many of us who run this crazy gauntlet between family and entrepreneurial business. The journey can sometimes feel like you’re running in the dark, but we’re making testaments that women can fuel ideas into reality when they are driven by passion and determination and the desire to provide a great future for our children.”
Lincolne-Lomax shared the passion that exists behind the brand with the audience, saying that “what started as a personal passion for baby wearing, keeping my child close and to enjoy being hands free during the day while providing a nurturing space for my child, has led to an amazing amount of challenges and rewarded me more than I ever could have imagined when I started out.”
Before leaving the stage she finished by acknowledging the wonderful range of baby wearing products and the opportunities that lay ahead for parents and children with the help of Babes in Arms.
