Australian businesses now have an alternative to the traditional customer ordering system, with Angel Aromatics allowing customers to view its products on an iPad.
Angel Aromatics, an Australian homewares manufacturer, used a customised iPad application as its ordering system at the August Reed Fair. The interactive ordering form allowed retailers who visited the Angel Aromatics stand to select items by colour, pricing and keep track of order values. They could also browse the virtual menu displaying images of the products on the stand as well as products that didn’t make it to the fair. The orders were then transferred to the printer and a copy was immediately given to the customer.
Using the iPad as an ordering tool meant that the company was able to optimise on stall space and stand out from the crowd, according to Angel Aromatics office manager Lana Vidler.
“Space at the trade fair is a premium. Not all of our products are available on the stand so we needed a tool that was contemporary, quick, easy to use and could be customised to suit our products. Retailers can both smell and touch our products on display and also view pictures of our entire product range. The iPad makes ordering and fragrance selection effortless,” said Ms Vidler.
“Using the iPad at trade fairs is quicker and more streamlined. Everyone is so excited about the iPad and we see this as a perfect fit for our brand. The iPad is the way of the future,” added Ms Vidler.
