Appliances Online has received seven nominations in the Online Retail Industry Awards (OIRAs), making it the most-nominated online retailer in the country.
The OIRAs recognise excellence in the Australian e-commerce industry, with Appliances Online receiving nominations in the categories of:
- Best Pure-Play Online Retailer
- Best Use of Technology
- Most Innovative Online Retailer
- Best Online Retail Marketing Initiative
- Best Customer Experience
- Best Site Optimisation
- Best Pure-Play Online Retailer
- Industry Recognition Award for CEO John Winning.
Winning said online retail is a highly competitive business industry, and he’s honoured to be a finalist in seven categories.
“My team and I have been relentless in our commitment to building a truly unique and innovative online business. We are thrilled with the nominations.”
Winning established the multi-million dollar business in 2005 with just a rented truck, a laptop and a 1300 number diverted to his mobile phone. Now, it’s the largest online retailer of whitegoods and appliances in the country, and at 27, Winning is a highly successful online entrepreneur.
“Our core-value promise is to provide consumers with the highest level of customer service time and time again. We are constantly looking at new ways to interact with our customers and provide them with an unforgettably seamless, easy and enjoyable shopping experience 16 hours a day, seven days a week. I believe this to be a key reason for Appliances Online to be identified as an ORIA finalist.”
The ORIAs will be judged by a panel of respected industry heavyweights, with winners to be announced at a Gala event on 27 September at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre Parkside Ballroom.
