Canva has unleashed Visual Suite 2.0, its biggest update since launching in 2012, redefining how small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) create and collaborate.
Announced at Canva Create 2025 in Los Angeles, the new platform blends advanced AI with intuitive design tools to streamline workflows and boost productivity for over 230 million monthly users worldwide. From conversational design assistants to visual spreadsheets, the launch empowers Australian SMEs to compete without needing tech expertise.
The revamped Visual Suite 2.0 introduces a unified way to craft everything from marketing campaigns to websites in one seamless format, eliminating the chaos of multiple tools. SMEs can now plan, design, and deliver projects in a single space, saving time and keeping teams on the same page. A standout addition, Canva Sheets, reimagines spreadsheets as vibrant, easy-to-use tools that blend data, text, and visuals, connecting effortlessly to platforms like HubSpot or Google Analytics for real-time insights.
At the core of the update is a suite of AI-driven features tailored for small businesses. Canva AI acts as a creative partner, letting users generate designs, text, or images through simple voice or text prompts, turning ideas into polished content in seconds. Magic Studio at Scale enables SMEs to produce personalized materials—like tailored ads or customer emails—rapidly by pulling data from Canva Sheets, ensuring brand consistency without manual slog. Magic Charts transforms raw numbers into dynamic visuals, such as animated reports or infographics, helping businesses share insights that grab attention.
For interactive content, Canva Code simplifies the creation of features like forms or calculators, no coding required, making it easy for SMEs to engage customers online. The enhanced Canva Photo Editor delivers professional-grade tweaks with AI-powered precision, from instant background swaps to object removal, perfect for crafting standout product images on a budget.
“We’re thrilled to unveil the Visual Suite 2.0 where creativity meets productivity, the biggest product launch since Canva was founded more than a decade ago. Each year, our community of 230 million people shares millions of ideas, and one we hear time and again is the desire to bring creativity and productivity into a single, seamless flow,” said Melanie Perkins, Canva’s Co-founder and CEO.
Canva’s growth underscores its impact, with 420 designs created every second and over 95% of Fortune 500 companies, including Salesforce and FedEx, relying on the platform. SMEs gain access to the same tools, leveling the playing field in a competitive market. Docusign, for instance, saved over 500 hours rebranding thousands of assets using Canva’s streamlined approach. The company now boasts over US$3 billion in annualized revenue, up 30% from last year.
Responsibility remains a priority, with Canva Shield ensuring AI tools are safe and transparent through data moderation and bias checks. A $200 million Creator Fund supports artists by paying royalties when their work powers AI designs, reinforcing trust for businesses using the platform.
For Australian SMEs, Visual Suite 2.0 means doing more with less. A small retailer could manage inventory visually with Canva Sheets, create compelling sales visuals with Magic Charts, and roll out personalized promotions via Magic Studio—all without hiring extra staff. Available now at canva.com/create, these tools make it simpler for businesses to turn ideas into reality and thrive in 2025’s fast-moving landscape.
