There are no excuses left for not making your business mobile friendly.
Whether it’s a mobile-optimised website, an app, or online commerce platform – you’re missing out on customers if you’re not mobile.
A new survey from SAP found that Australian consumers are looking to do more of their spending on their mobile phones than ever before. Over sixty five per cent of consumers surveyed want to increase mobile transactions with banks, retailers, and other businesses.
Selim Ahmed of SAP Australia and New Zealand said consumers are quickly adopting a mobile-first approach to engaging with their preferred brands and service providers.
“Consumers are hungry for more mobile services to meet their needs for convenience and personalisation,” Ahmed said.
Almost fifty per cent of respondents stated they’re now using their phones for more activities than calling or texting than they did a year ago. However, consumers are being deterred from mobile commerce by security concerns and the hassle of entering a lot of personal information.
SAP’s survey is the latest in a long line that prove mobile optimisation and apps should be a key part of an SMB’s marketing and selling strategy.
“In Australia and New Zealand, we are seeing that businesses who are leading in mobile are building brand affinity, gaining market share and enabling new revenue streams,” Ahmed said.
