Hewlett-Packard (HP) has expanded its entrepreneur program and introduced better technology solutions to help small and medium businesses grow, improve employee productivity and protect assets.
Controlling costs, managing employee productivity and gaining access to credit are some of the challenges SMBs face, and HP has tried to combat these with its latest initiatives.
HP has created 40 new training programs as part of its global HP Learning Initiative for Entrepreneurs which helps SMBs create new revenue channels. There are 63 programs in the Asia Pacific region across ten countries, including Australia. Since 2007, HP has spent more than $20 million on the program, creating 20,000 jobs and more than 6,500 new businesses.
HP has also developed a broad range of new technology aiming to maximise SMBs employee productivity, ensure collaboration and reduce costs.
These include:
- The HP ProLiant ML110 G7 and HP ProLiant DL120 G7 servers, which help clients improve their return on investments (ROI), speed application delivery and better utilise IT resources.
- HP Business Decision Appliance and HP Business Data Warehouse Appliance are self-service business intelligence (BI) and data warehouse appliances that allow SMBs to easily turn insight from analysis into critical business decisions.
- HP Business Risk Mitigation (BRM) and HP Branch Office Consolidation (BOC) provide new solutions to help SMBs lower the risks of business disorder.
- The HP Networking standards-based HP V1810-48G switch and the HP V1410 switch series, reduce technology costs and allow SMBs to drive business growth.
- The HP P2000 G3 Modular Smart Array (MSA) is among the first entry-level storage arrays in the market to support VMware vStorage™ APIs for Array Integration (VAAI), allowing SMBs to access enterprise-class performance and VMware manageability.
