Vodafone Hutchinson Australia (VHA) is finally offering free calls between Vodafone and 3 Mobile customers over a year after announcing the companies would merge to create VHA.
Vodafone and 3 Mobile customers on postpaid caps have been able to make free standard voice calls in Australia Vodafone-to-Vodafone or 3-to-3 since the caps launched, but finally the two brands will be able to call within the almost 6 million customers in the VHA ‘family’ for free. The free calls offer for Vodafone customers to 3 customers is currently rolling out and the free calls offer for 3 customers to Vodafone will launch by the end of July.
“With Vodafone and 3 part of the same family it’s a great chance for us to let our customers talk to each other for free and make their cap go even further,” said John Casey, director of marketing at Vodafone Hutchison Australia.
Nigel Dews, CEO of Vodafone Hutchison Australia reiterated the importance of merging both the Vodafone and 3 Mobile brands for consumers.
“Until now, the merger and integration of 3 and Vodafone has essentially been behind the scenes, focussed primarily on bringing our people, our customer service capabilities and IT systems together. Now we’re providing our customers with a great choice of products and services that bring the best of both brands to their fingertips.”
“By the end of July, all Vodafone and 3 customers on our new postpaid caps over $29 a month that launched on March 11, will be able to make free standard voice calls in Australia, 24×7, to a total circle of almost 6 million people,” added Dews.
