Cloud service provider Rackspace ANZ has placed first in the 2016 ‘Best Places to Work‘ study among companies with under 100 employees. Meanwhile, Salesforce placed first among companies with more than 100 employees.
About the Best Places to Work study
The study, now in its ninth year, is a list 25 companies with under 100 employees and 25 companies with more than 100 employees, considered the best places to work in Australia. Companies are selected and ranked by research and consulting firm, Great Place to Work, based on employee responses to a 58-statement survey and an evaluation of each company’s policies and procedures across nine specific practice areas.
The study was conducted between October 2015 and July 2016. The results represent 51,937 employees from 135 companies.
“We consider how we can improve our employees’ lives”
Commenting on the Rackspace ANZ’s win, general manager and senior director Angus Dorney said, “Our focus has never shifted from growing our workplace and the opportunities it presents to our incredibly valued, talented employees. We believe it is this commitment that’s seen us take top place this year.”
“At Rackspace, we’re always considering how we can better improve the lives of our employees both in and outside the workplace. This sees us constantly explore their experience from a productivity, creativity, happiness and client service point of view. While we embrace many talent development avenues as part of this approach, we also extend our services to community and workplace diversity initiatives, and curiosity and culture empowerment projects.
“Rackspace ANZ is known as an energising and vibrant company that puts empowering people at the heart of its approach to business. Proof of this is not only last night’s award, but that 98% of ANZ Rackers also say Rackspace is a great place to work.”
