Business confidence has bounced back, according to the latest survey conducted by the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) and Westpac.
The index of overall business conditions in the survey rose 3.9 percent to 38.3 in the June quarter, a clear sign that business confidence is slowly returning.
ACCI’s acting chief executive Greg Evans said the figures indicate signs of economic improvement.
According to report figures, the jump in confidence was encouraged by “green shoots” of a global recovery, a resilient Australian economy, improved housing indicators and a reduction in the perceived difficulty of obtaining finance.
