kikki.K, the ‘fashion stationary’ retailer established by Swedish born Australian entrepreneur Kristina Karlsson 10 years ago in Melbourne will open in Singapore’s Changi Airport next month.
kikki.K was invited by Changi Airport Group (CAG) to open in the redeveloped Terminal 2 retail precinct, CAG was searching for innovative international retailers with a clear point of difference to add interest to Changi’s retail mix. The November opening at Changi International Airport Terminal 2 is another exciting step in this Melbourne business success story, growing from one to over 50 privately owned boutiques in less than ten years.
With over 37 million passengers annually, the presence of kikki.K at Changi Airport will bring the unique fashion stationery concept to a global audience.
kikki.K opened its first boutique in Asia 12 months ago on Singapore’s famed Orchard Road. Over 20,000 keen stationery lovers passed through its doors in its opening week and over 700,000 in the first 12 months.
Founder Kristina Karlsson, currently a finalist in the 2010 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, says she can’t wait to visit the new Changi Airport store.
“It’s so exciting to be opening a boutique at one of Asia’s most prominent shopping destinations. With over 37 million passengers annually, this opening will take us closer to achieving our vision of having something kikki.K in every stylish life, the world over” she says.
“Our focus has always been global, and the response we’ve had from Asian consumer reaffirms the opportunity ahead of us.”
