If you have leased a retail space in New South Wales, you are in the best position to have your say on the upcoming review of the Retail Leases Act 1994.
The NSW Government has issued the callout for business owners who have experienced the leasing process firsthand to comment on the process.
The scheduled review is set down to receive submissions until 5.00pm on Friday 7 February 2014.
Interested parties are invited to read the discussion paper by the NSW Small Business Commissioner, and respond to 27 yes/no survey questions. There is also the option to submit longer comments.
According to the state government, the purpose of the review is to level the playing field in retail leasing, reduce the cost of doing business, and to cut red tape.
